Review of Sadhaka Yoga Centre

Yesterday I tried out an Ashtanga class at Sadhaka Yoga Centre in Camden. Honestly, it was the most stunning yoga studio I’d ever seen. I even contemplated not blogging about it so I could keep this little yoga haven to myself…but of course giving Bellas the best possible advice and reviews trumped my selfishness. Sadhaka is tucked away in Stables Market, nestled above the bars and food stalls.

The centre has these wonderful high beam ceilings and houses the Soul Café, which serves both raw and cooked food and an impressive range of juices and coffees. The yoga room itself was beautifully candlelit and scented by incense. There was both a humidifier and heater set up to maintain ideal conditions for deep breathing. The room was hot but not Bikram hot and my body acclimatised quite quickly. The added ambience in the studio made it so different from any other yoga class I’d ever tried. The instructor Luiz took time at the beginning and end of the session to give a more in depth explanation of the Ashtanga practice to the newbies in the class. We followed the primary series and moved at a brisk pace. I left sweaty, stretched and ready to sign up for my next class. I registered for their New Student Offer – 10 days of unlimited yoga for £20 so I’ll most certainly be back! Five stars from us at Bella Kinesis HQ.

Keep stretching,
