Review of Good Vibes

Shaleena and I both signed up for the Good Vibes promotional day last week as part of the opening for their new studio in Fitzrovia. The studio is just off Tottenham Court Road and offers power plate, spinning and yoga classes. As we’ve said in previous posts, Shaleena and I like different types of workouts so I booked in for Glow Ballet Tone and Shaleena tried Glow Cycle.

The ballet class took place in the yoga studio. We were all given yoga mats, pilates rings and medicine balls. We warmed up with some pliés and attitude arms and then moved on to a more gruelling mat workout. We did a whole series of thigh crunches with the pilates ring and sit ups and side crunches with the handweights. Our instructor Ava, was really friendly and encouraging. I was feeling particularly stiff and lethargic that day so needed all the motivation I could get! We ended the class with some leg raises and kickbacks – I left pretty sweaty and sore.

Shaleena's review of the cycle class: I enjoyed the cycling class, I built up quite a sweat and my instructor Jade was excellent, she was keen but not overly aggressive. We sped up in intervals and has good resting times between each set which kept my muscles going. The class was not full but the room still felt a bit tight with so many bikes crammed into a room with low ceilings. Throughout the class, we constantly changed the resistance from low to high impact and I really felt it the effects the next day. Overall I think I would go back.

In general, we were both really happy with our classes. Glow Vibes is also much more reasonably priced than other workouts in Central London. A single Glow Yoga class costs £16 and a Glow Cycle class is priced at £14 with discounts available for class passes. Definitely give them a try!

Keep sweating,

Shaleena & Roshni
