About a month ago a picture came up on my instagram feed of Tanya’s Café, from that moment I really wanted to try it. I followed them on instagram and everyday I would see the great things they were cooking and cute inspirational quotes and it only made me want to go more! So finally, we were meeting a friend in the area and naturally I suggested Tanya’s.
When we got there my expectations were high because I had been stalking them on social media for a while. The décor was appropriately rustic with green potted plants hanging off the walls, big tables and a display of raw cakes. When we sat down a looked at the menu everything looked amazing, however the prices were a bit higher than we had expected! When we fumbled to choose what we wanted to eat the waiter looked a bit displeased with us.
We ended up having the tacos with a filling of walnut oyster mushroom meat, guacamole, salsa & sour cream with a side of kale salad. The food was quick and was hovered down in a matter of minutes; it was delicious. The food was light and we were not quite done, it was time for desert. We shared a raw pear chocolate cheesecake, which was also delicious. We were so comfortable we sat there for a few hours and didn’t realise.
This is definitely one of the healthiest meals I have ever had.
