Pilates and Brunch at The Detox Kitchen

On Sunday 21st we held a Pilates class apart of our #BKGiveItAnotherGo campaign. Our incredible ambassador Sophia Barker from Esprit De Core hosted the class, she originally fell in love with Pilates whilst training at Central School of Ballet in London, where she practiced daily Pilates sessions as part of her professional dance programme, training her body in the most effective way to prevent or speed up recovery from injury. Having spent the past few years working in the corporate world, Sophia has a particular passion for bringing the benefits of Pilates to office-based workers; encouraging the strengthening of core stability muscles and improving postural alignment, to reduce lower back pain and help with general physical and mental wellbeing.

The class was intimate with twelve women, of which some has never done Pilates before. The women worked hard, holding their positions and moving at a steady space. Sibberi Tree Water sponsored the class with some amazing birch water refreshments. After the class the women had a well-deserved brunch catered by The Detox Kitchen. We had an array nut butters, rye breads, avocados and courgette fritters.

Keep Going,
