We’ve been neglecting our blog! Three days of manning our Be:Fit and being on our feet really took it out if us and we were in desperate need of a break. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall, it was so nice to see so many friendly faces. From now on the blog will be back on schedule!
Last week we had lunch at Good Life Eatery with the lovely Caroline from a new activewear website, Copé Active, which is set to launch in June 2015. The eatery has been on our wish list for a while so as soon as we had a lunch meeting in our calendar, we knew exactly where to go. The café is in the heart of Chelsea. I’m not a follower of Made in Chelsea but some of my friends are obsessed so I had to send a cheeky Snapchat when I saw both Millie Mackintosh and Sophie Hermann popping into Good Life for a salad.
The place is a health bunny’s dream – but it’s not all a fad, you can tell that all of the dishes have been carefully thought out to balance both nutrition and flavour. I tried the Good Life salad with kale, sweet potato, quinoa, walnuts and an orange tahini dressing and Shaleena got the Sunset Chop salad with baby gem lettuce, eggs, chicken and crispy bacon. The portions were really generous, super tasty and well priced compared to other places we’ve tried in the area (the salads were £10-12 and were filling enough to be a full meal). It’s a quite a small venue but it gets packed around lunchtime so if you’re heading down, try to avoid peak meal times so you can get a prime seat at one of the tables.
For those of you more centrally located, Good Life’s new Marylebone location (on Marylebone Lane) opens today! They are also on Deliveroo so your kale can now make its way to you!
