Last night we had our last running club of the year. We’ve only been organising our runs since September but they’ve been a lot of fun so far! Christmas is just around the corner and we wanted to add some festivity to our 5k so we picked Somerset House as our starting point. It’s my absolute favourite London landmark. It has an ice rink in winter, an outdoor cinema during the summer and of course hosts London Fashion Week.
Our amazing ambassador, Carly, from Project Hot Bitch always leads our runs. We set a nice, gentle pace so everyone can keep up. Shaleena and I really aren’t great runners so if we can do it, you most certainly can too. Luckily for us, it was a clear, crisp evening and we didn’t need too many layers to brave the cold. We ran all along Southbank, across the Millennium Bridge to St Pauls, Blackfriars and back. We stopped a few times for some cheeky photo ops and Snapchats and ended it all with some giggles, mulled wine and of course, little goody bags to take home.
I think some people can be really intimidated by running clubs but we promise ours is really friendly. We even chat along the way! All the women who’ve signed up so far have been so friendly and encouraging. Our next run will take place in January 2016 so sign up to our mailing list to be in the know. Can’t wait to meet you all! And drop us a line if you have any suggestions for our next route.
