Today, our labour of love turned one. We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. We can’t believe how much progress we’ve made. Shaleena and I actually had no clue what we were doing when we first started the business. We arrived at our first factory visit with no patterns, no samples and no fabric and were quickly shown the door…but eventually we got there and we’re so proud of what Bella has become.
Fellow startups or anyone who’s thinking about taking the plunge, please get in touch! We love hearing success stories of other entrepreneurs but so often they skip from where they started to when they were making zillions. Shaleena and I always look at eachother and say ‘Wait, HOW did you do that?’. We want our story to be as transparent as possible. Right now we’re growing but honestly, we have freakouts on a fairly frequent basis. With loan repayments, accountant’s fees and all kinds of other expenses, things can be quite stressful. Sometimes we’re super busy but at others we’re a bit stumped on what we should be doing to expand. It’s all worth it though when we get some amazing customer feedback or some out of the blue email asking if we have any vacancies available; like a little bit of digital hand holding to get us through our many working weekends.
So thank you for all your orders, messages and social media love. It really means so much to us. We’re working on expanding the collection and have some AWESOME ideas for 2016. We’re also going event crazy so that we can hopefully get lots of opportunities to meet you lovely lot!
